No words!

I saw the news on muted tv in the waiting area where I just went by chance and was shocked to see about the shooting incident at the elementary school in Connecticut USA. It was when I came home and read the entire news and saw the videos that I came to know about the whole incident. It was heart breaking and sad..really sad. I do not want to write about the incident..its too depressing.
 I just have some questions and trying to find out if there is a possible solution.
No amount of gun control will stop the psychs from getting the weapon they want to devastate precious lives. Why cant we stop these things from happening ? Whats the cause for such outburst??

I cant seem to find the answer...


The only thing that I feel is under our control is proper up bringing of the generation...making them more tolerant, loving, caring individuals. If every child has love and affection and good values then why not he or she will be a good citizen!


Thats a dream to see whole of a generation to be more tolerant and less troublesome...ITs a huge responsibility on the parents for this to come true...

That LOL moment

It was cold winter evening and we wanted to have hot pizza. So headed towards nearby pizza hut, after placing the order there was 15 min wait time so I was sitting there while checking out the place and was in no hurry. That place was busy coz of all the online orders and there were few people waiting just like me. Among those there was a lady not very happy about something, I had eye contact with her at least twice and never did she smile! That time I was really wishing I had a smart phone to keep me busy and so I started admiring my simple nokia phone. Suddenly I heard loud, annoyed voice of a lady kinda screaming at the person on the counter...and voila it was her indeed! So she was angry that her order was not ready and that she was waiting for such a long time..Precisely in her words " This is highly unacceptable. .I have been waiting for such a long time and there is no sign of my order ready! My husband is working from his blackberry in the car..and I am standing here.... Do I look like a fool to ME..er... you.." and then she looked around to see if anyone was looking, I could not control my laughter but the moral values imbibed in me did not allow me to.. and luckily my order was ready for pick up. I did not look at her again thanks to those 'values'....nevertheless had a hearty laugh narrating the incident at home :D

Somebody that I used to know..!!

So this song by Gotye and Kimbra is very addictive. I am not a big fan of English music nor do I follow any singers or the chart busters but some songs just grow on you and this is one of those songs, the more you listen to it the more you like it.
Now I am going to write this post in two sections; one explores songs and music and the other based on the line 'somebody that I used to know'
Music is really a mood changer, party starter, soother etc. So if the music is sad one tends to feel dull, lonely. ....
Surprisingly this song is a sad one but the way it is composed one doesnt realize until listening the lyrics. There are few more songs which just grow on you, have pleasant music but then turn out to be sad ones. Now this I have seen only in English songs. I listen to Hindi and Marathi songs too and in both these languages if there is a sad song then the music is ultra sad. I mean just at the beginning of the song you can make out, no guesses there! I mean literally everything is so sad that at least I wouldn't like to listen to those. But in the case of "Somebody ..." that doesn't happen even with sad lyrics this song just grows on and on! 
So what I don't understand is if the song is sad why make sad music ? Guess there is a fan following for sad music too....


Now coming back to 'somebody that I used to know'........once we know somebody,we cant unknow that person isn't it? But still it so happens that we fall apart with some people after knowing them, after being friends with them....somethings happen and then those people be the people whom one used to know. 
This is sad actually...... shouldn't happen.....
There are few people whom I met became friends/acquaintance with and after sometime for some reason just stopped talking. I wouldn't say that it was entirely their fault.... somewhere may be I acted child-ish may be they did not like some of my actions, may be ......I don't know....all I know is that each one of them is somebody that I used to know!  

The life as we all know!

This post has been written while having random thoughts in my mind.....
Just a thought wandered into my mind about LIFE...
Its beautiful, difficult, challenging, journey.....there are a number of definitions and sayings about life. 
While reading this post one may think that I am a follower of some saint who tells how to lead a simple life sans 'moh-maya'.. I just want to mention how we all have some negative feelings and its easier to live without them....
LIVING HUMBLE LIFE!
There are people who just want everything...money, fame. and they would not give anything to anyone even if its a small thing. There is greed, jealousy, comparison. My question is in this life where things happen unpredictably why cant people be content and humble?? Its no big of a deal just a matter of clean heart and mind. The lifestyle nowadays is such that in young age people are getting diseases which were once upon a time   rare. And I feel that most of these happen because of mental stress and not being happy and satisfied. No one knows what will happen tomorrow so why not be good and kind and generous and content; why not forget ego and just smile; why not make the first move towards friendship;why not be content with life; why not forget the rat race; why not think different; why not just relax; why not forget the hurry and enjoy the life as it comes; why not be the person everyone would love! Charity begins at home..
Nothing more to write....if by reading this post even if one person changes the perspective towards life I would be more than happy!
PS I am also trying to implement what has been written. as they say practice what you preach; though my intention is not to preach just to put some random thoughts in this post and follow them 

Lock pal bill...

April 2011, August 2011:-The whole nation is jubilant; last time this was for the world cup championship win and this time its for the Indian Govt agreed demands of young and brave Anna Hazare! Young? yes why not?? His stamina, will power and courage can make any 25 year old give a run for his age! So when Anna was fasting I could see the whole nation backing him which was indeed great but not everyone knew what exactly was the Lokpal bill and what were his demands. I too wasn't fully aware so I searched on Wikipedia and got the answers to my questions about this whole issue.

There were people supporting Anna on FB by making his photo as their profile pic, updating their status with praises to Anna and his team and curses to the Govt. People even posted pics wearing white topi on which it was written "I am Anna" in different languages. I am happy people are supporting Anna but I hope they prove it by action rather than imitation!

March 2012:-This post was written some months ago but couldn't complete . I revisited this page now and realized that whole enthusiasm of people have fizzled out now. No one seem to remember the bill, the agitation, the fast and Anna.

Just hope that people in India will take this bill personally as their aim to live a corruption less life. After all charity  begins at home. So my suggestion is:

•  to stand in the long line for any govt work and deciding not to bribe the peon to move ahead of others
•  to go in the next train if the ticket is wait-listed but not to bribe the TC (its your mistake that you booked late)
•  to pay fine for traffic offence but not to bribe the traffic police to cover up (definitely your mistake to cut the red light)

There are many scenarios where we can avoid paying bribe and let the people do their jobs at their own pace. We wouldn't need the parliament to pass the bill if no one accepts bribe which will happen if no one is ready to give bribe!!

Hoping a better future...for all!
